Ten Fingers and Toes!

Jacob Thomas Strickland arrived at 4:00 am, October 24th!  We are so blessed by our healthy new member of the family and his sweet entry into the world. Thank you all for your prayers and we thank our God for His gifts!  God is good!  More pictures to follow, but here is a teaser for now!

The Last Few Months

Here we are nearing the birth of #3 and after months of silence with the blog.  There really are so many pictures I could post, but I'm going to post some of the bright spots from the few pictures we have loaded on the laptop.  Our desktop died two months ago and we have been operating with the laptop, thus not doing much with pictures we have taken.  We are hoping to soon have a desktop up and running with new programs and picture options...just in time for baby! 

So the baby update is.... Full term is only 1 and 1/2 weeks away, so he or she could come at any time.  I have had a good pregnancy and midwife.  I've taken lots of probiotics this time and the Gentle Birth formula, so we will see how that affects baby's health and the birth this time.  We all had a healthy, delightful summer!  What a gift from the Lord...even an indian summer here into October giving us more outside time before baby arrives.  We look forward to introducing him or her to you soon!

Perfect Ending to a Summer Sunday

The following two pictures were taken sometime in the last week but I guess they are favorites because they depict two of my main goals for training right now!  Although it feels training is slow most of the time, I guess what makes me grab the camera the quickest is when I see evidence of the goals in my heart bearing some fruit.  Number one goal is not pictured (loving God and His Word) but pictured is number two and three goals (loving each other and learning to work and serve at a young age).  Of course, obedience, respect and self-control are on the top of the list, too!  Academics and many other goals will come later, but we have to choose our battles one at a time, right?!!
